I want to bet on this game but i want know your thoughts and find the best bet here, side or total.

Man U without Ronaldo and i think Tevez is ready to play right now...Last weekend a draw at home for Man U and a terrible lost for Portsmouth against Chelsea, so both teams with the need to win...tough game for Man U....last couple of seasons...i think they have lost with Portsmouth when they come to visit them, or at least i dont remember Man U coming back home with the three points....!!

Want it to know your thoughts, side or total, and lets see which one will be our bet.

I expect a better effort from Man U, and the price is pretty short, so I took them.

They had a lot of chances in the opener, and could not finish. I expect they will get on track today.

GL guys.

Sure ManU will do the best they can, but PM is a tough nut to crack. Especially after the 4-0 loss against Chelsea, they'll be more focused, especially in the D. I think the best on this one is the Under, without CR ManU still have offensive potential, but they miss him as a man that can decide a match on his own. By making an assist or just solo attempts that will result in a goal. I think the defense of PM will stand.

My Prediction: Under 2.5 goals at 1.93

If I had to play the total I would go with the Under 2.5. As for a side, I personally was looking for Portsmouth +1 to make a play, but couldn't find a line. It's tough to think Man U wouldn't win their first two games, but anytime you can a team at home +1 for a decent price you should consider it. -130 is too much for me to lay on a team on the road, that really didn't seem in form in their opener.

Good luck to those that play.

Pompey +1 -193 at 5Dimes, +.75 -130. I don't like anything in this game, if anything at all, the under.

Thanks for the heads up man. Probably a little too pricey for me though.

One of the things I learned betting soccer is that taking the road team is asking for trouble. You will lose in the long run. Even the good teams screw up on the road.

The only sensible play here is on the home team, Portsmouth, getting 0.5 goal. Manchester showed me nothing in their opener to Newcastle. In fact, without a true striker, and without C. Ronaldo, Manchester has a pop gun offense. They just can't score, especially true in the early stages of a season (like last year)

The other play to consider is Manchester team total under 1.5 With the forwards situation in Manchester, seeing them score 2 goals on the road doesn't seem very likely.

So I'm looking at:

Portsmouth +0.5
Manchester United TT under 1.5

I found this...dont know if its accurate, but there is the games at Portsmouth only....

League (inc PL): League: Portsmth 11 wins, Man United 6, Draws 10
Prem: Portsmouth 3 wins, Man United 1, Draws 1

Portsmouth last season record at home...11 wins, 5 draws and 3 losses
